Project Hope
Project Hope (Helping Others Pursue Employment) assists persons as they prepare for full-time employment. Clients of the Department of Human Services who receive Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) are referred to Project HOPE for career services including vocational training. Denise Whitehead is Career Specialist/Job Developer. Employability skills are critical to the long-term employment success of each client. Project Hope stresses skills needed to seek, maintain and change jobs. Resume writing, interview skills, workplace behaviors, appropriate dress and working well with others are examples of skills taught in the program.Superintendent's Leadership Class
The Superintendent's Leadership Class is designed to maximize leadership capabilities in students who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and have been identified by their instructors as having leadership potential. SLC features a series of activities designed to enhance skills such as team building, public speaking, community services and business etiquette.Summer Computer Class
The summer computer class in designed to allow partner school students the opportunity to obtain either a half or full credit of computer. Both Computer Application I A & B andComputer Application II. The program is taught by a certified instructor therefore the class can be transcripted at the partner school and meets the "Oklahoma's Promise" computer requirement.Summer Youth Academy
The summer youth academy is a program designed for students ages 9-13 to participate in a wide variety of educational programs at a minimal cost to area parents. The programs focus on areas of technology, computer, health and medical, art, personal interest and more.
