Practical Nursing

The Practical Nursing program is approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and meet pre-entrance testing and qualifications. Clinical practice is correlated with classroom theory and skill practice. Clinical experience includes supervised practice, observation, and participation in various health care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, home health, clinics, etc.

Graduates of this state approved program are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-PN examination for licensure as a practical nurse. The LPN is in demand in the health care profession. The LPN works under the supervision and direction of the licensed physician, dentist, or registered nurse.
