Microcomputer Repair and Networking

Microcomputer repair, support and networking technicians assemble and maintain microcomputer systems for businesses. Technicians have an advanced understanding of the theory, operation and troubleshooting of microprocessors, bus structures, operating systems, common user applications, and network systems. Technicians are trained in the use of specialized diagnostic software and equipment, system documentation and schematics, and basic hand power tools.


Microcomputer repair and networking offers study into the fundamentals of the computer repair and networking industry. This program provides the latest information through applied classroom theory, “hands-on” lab experience and troubleshooting. Included in this course of study is curriculum to help prepare students for certification in the following areas: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Network+, Server+, Linux+, and Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).
