The Information Technology Program at High Plains offers occupational certifications in the areas of Microcomputer Repair Technician and Microcomputer Networking Technician.

Information Tech Students

The primary purpose of the Information Technology Program is to provide the student with a basic foundation of building and repairing microcomputer systems. The student will learn about assembling and identifying basic computer parts and developing troubleshooting techniques. The studens in this class will also learn about setting up and maintaining computer networks.

The course helps prepare the student to take the CompTIA's A+ and Cisco Certified System Engineeering (CCNA) certification tests.
