Information Technology

The primary purpose of the information technology class is to provide the student with a basic foundation of building and repairing microcomputer systems. The student will learn about assembling and identifying basic computer parts and developing troubleshooting techniques.

A successful student will be prepared to pass the CompTIA’s A+ computer repair certification test. The student will also be provided training in web page design, Microsoft Office packages, and an introduction into programming languages.

Students who complete this program are strongly encouraged to continue their training in the computer repair/network program, which is designed to train the students in the levels of network management.
