Integrated Energy Training Center
Wind Technician Training
We have the wind
Northwest Oklahoma is right in the middle of wind development in the United States, and in 2009, High Plains Technology Center became the first career tech center in the state to offer a wind technician training program, leading the renewable energy training initiative in Oklahoma.
Safety is embedded throughout each module taught at High Plains, and is our highest priority. We guarantee our students leave with the skills necessary to become an entry-level wind energy technician. Our niche is to provide potential wind techs with a hands-on, fast track training experience.
The program is taught in English. Students must be in excellent physical condition, weigh 265lbs or less; have a verifiable clean background; ability to climb, work and repel from heights; work within confined spaces and willingness to work in arduous environmental conditions.
